Secretary Rice Meets Elmo in Indonesia

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice traveled to Indonesia in March 2006 to attend bilateral meetings and to show U.S. support for Indonesia's fight against terrorism and its burgeoning democracy.  While in Indonesia, Secretary Rice visited an Islamic school and announced a new U.S. funded Indonesian Sesame Street program. This was Secretary Rice's first visit to Indonesia, a country of strategic importance to Washington.
